NEW METALLICA SONGS?
Almost every day several e-mails ends up in my inbox saying "Hey, I just found these new Metallica songs on Napster, they are so cool". I then reply, telling them that it is not Metallica, not even close, and they returns with "I am 100% sure that these are demo songs recorded by Metallica", or something similar. Here is the true story about the songs "Valley of missery" and "Hunger"

If you search for Metalica on Napster, or any other similar program, the tunes might pop up. This is not a proof that it is Metallica, someone just credited Metallica in the MP3 file thats all.

"Valley of missery" are by a small band called Hollochaust. They even sent me a copy of their CD which is available from MP3.com. The finish band play some kind of slow trash metal. The song doesn't sound like Metallica in my opinion, but the vocals are very close to James, so that's probably why so many people think it is them. You can check their website at http://go.to/holochaust. You can also download their songs there, or buy their CD to make up your own mind.

"Hunger" is not by Metallica eather, but by another "garage" band called Eternal Decision. They have released two albums, and is not affected with Metallica in any way, except a lot of Napster users think their song is recorded by James & Co. See their website at http://www.eternaldecision.net/

No unreleased Metallica songs has escaped from the studio yet. I dissapear was available for download on Napster before it was released, and some demos of well known songs are out there, but that's all. Feel free to discuss this further at the message forum
